Project: Usability Testing for the Greater Twin Cities United Way Website
Challenge: The Greater Twin Cities United Way recently launched a new website. The stake holders requested our team evaluate the usability of their new site.
Focus: Our goals were to understand the ease to which a user can find the information they need. To evaluate the efficiency of the Users task flow (creating an event). To gain insights as to what users can do on the site and what the pain points are.
Result: Our team identified navigation and design aesthetics to be the primary pain points for users. Several navigation links all seemed to share the same meaning. Users were unsure which navigation links to click to find the information they required to complete the tasks.
Methods Used: Heuristic Analysis, Usability Testing (in-lab and remote), Task Analysis, Task Completion, Affinity Diagraming, Comparative Analysis, Prototyping
Tools Used: Google Docs, Trello, Lookback, InDesign, Photoshop, Axure, Numbers
My role: UX Researcher and Designer
Additional notes & images: Our team collectively tested 12 users, three in person and nine remotely.
